Babylon is to rise from the Abyss one more time!
The fall of Babylon occurred in 539 B.C.E., when DARIUS took the city in one night:
“And Darius, the Mede, received the kingdom, being about 62 years old.” (Daniel 5:31)
Herodotus describes Babylon as an impregnable four corner square fortress city, with each side being 22 km long. It was encircled by a wide and very deep moat, in the middle of which stood a wall that was 99 meters high and 26 meters thick, atop of which six chariots could be driven alongside of each other.
We read in Daniel 5, that in the same night Babylon fell, that Belshazzar, the pontiff-king of Babylon, was having a great feast with a thousand of his friends. He had used the golden and silver cups his father Nebuchadnezzar had stolen from the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, to toast the health of the gods of Babylon. Then all of a sudden he saw opposite his throne a heavenly hand, that wrote on the wall: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UFARSIN……….
King Belshazzar became very afraid and extremely agitated and he wanted to discover the meaning of the writing. Only Daniel was able, with HASHEM’s help, to give the king the interpretation. Daniel recognized immediately that the words; “Mene, mene, tekel, upharsin,” indicated measurements of weights:
MENE = 50 SHEKELS, MENE = 50 SHEKELS, TEKEL = 1 SHEKEL, UFARSIN = 25 SHEKELS – 50+50+1+25 =126. The Bible also informs us in Ezekiel that a shekel is twenty GERAH’S. 20 x 126 = 2520 GERAH’S – or: SEVEN TIMES.
Daniel then explains the interpretation to the king:
“This is the writing that was inscribed: ‘MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.’ This is the interpretation of the matter: ‘Mene’ (counted) – God counted [the years of] your kingship and terminated it. ‘TEKEL’ (weighed) - you have been weighed in the scales and found wanting. ‘PERES’ (broken up) - your kingdom has been broken and given to Media and Persia.”
(Daniel 5:25-26, emphasis added)
Daniel also reminded the king about the arrogance of his father Nebuchadnezzar, which had led to him having to spend seven years in madness. Just as Daniel had interpreted Nebuchadnezzar dream, the king was declared mad for seven years, ‘seven times’ he lived as a wild beast, having to eat grass.
“Seven periods will pass over you, until you recognise that the Supreme One rules over the kingdom of man and He gives it to whomever He wishes.”
“They will drive you from mankind, and your dwelling will be among the beasts of the field; they will feed you grass like oxen: and wash you with the dew of heaven, and SEVEN PERIODS will pass over you, until you recognize that the Supreme One rules in the kingdom of man, and He gives it to whomever He wishes.”
(Daniel 4:22, emphasis added)
This prophetic dream of Nebuchadnezzar was twofold in its meaning in that its’ immediate application was to the king himself, whereas its’ later fulfillment would come into effect to the Babylonian Empire he ruled.
“I was watching and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth, the height of it was great. The tree grew and became strong, its height reached to the heavens; it was visible to the end of the entire earth; In the visions of my head upon my bed, I was watching and behold! A holy angel came down from heaven. He cried out loudly, and said thus: CHOP DOWN THE TREE AND CUT OFF ITS BRANCHES; cast down its foliage and scatter its fruit; let the animals move away from under it, and the birds from its branches! HOWEVER, LEAVE ITS MAJOR ROOTS IN THE GROUND, [secured] WITH A BAND OF IRON AND COPPER.”
(Daniel 4:10-12, emphasis added)
Babylon is the tree, which was cut down in 539 B.C.E.!
The roots of this Babylonian tree in the meantime are protected by a band of iron and copper. You can never see the roots of a tree, as they are underground.
The interpretation here is that BABYLON HAS GONE UNDERGROUND FOR SEVEN TIMES, aka, on the Biblical principle of ONE DAY FOR A YEAR.
When we fast-forward 2,520 years, and add the seven years of Nebuchadnezzar’s period of madness from 539 B.C.E. to our time, we arrive at respectively: 1982 and 1989!
In the context of Babylon, did anything of significance occur in 1982?
It was the 25th anniversary of the TREATY OF ROME! According to the Catholic Press Bureau on the 25th July 2005, Pope Benedict XVI commented on the Feast of the Apostle James, whose relics are worshiped in the famous Shrine of Santiago de Compostella, which is the destination of thousands of pilgrims from all over Europe. According to Catholic doctrine, the Apostle Saint James is the patron saint of Europe. The Pope also mentioned the Feast of Saint Brigitte of Sweden, the ‘female’ patron of Europe, plus the Feast of Saint Benedict of the 11th July, who was also a great patron of the old continent (Article by Azmul Fahimi Kamazuzaman; The Emergence of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine.). Thinking on those Saints, Pope Benedict said on July 25th 2005:
“It is natural to pause at a time such as this, to consider the contribution, which Christendom has made in the past, and still makes towards the building of Europe.”
Pope Benedict XVI then urges: “EUROPE TO RETURN: TO HER CHRISTIAN ROOTS, and he commands the youth of Europe to become like yeast!”
He then spoke about the pilgrimage of his predecessor Pope John Paul II, who in “1982” also went to Santiago de Compostella, where he performed A SOLEMN EUROPEAN ACT!
Pope John Paul II on that occasion spoke the following memorable words:
“I the Bishop of Rome and Pastor of the Universal Church address you from Santiago, ‘OLD EUROPE,’ with a cry full of love: return to yourself! Be yourself! Discover your ORIGINS! RELIVE YOUR ROOTS!!! Experience once again the authentic values, which have made your history glorious and your stay in other continents blessed.”
During his visit of 1982, John Paul also launched a special European project, called, “One Europe aware of his own spiritual unity, based upon the foundation of her Christian values.”
Thus we see that in 1982, exactly 2520 years after the tree of Babylon was cut down, Pope John Paul II, acting as the titular Head of Babylon, calling upon the European Union, the modern day reincarnation of that evil empire to ‘relive her roots!’ (Matthias Kuntzel, Djihad und Judenhas, Freiburg 2003, Page 36.)
So, what happened in 1989?
On the World Youth Day of 1989, commemorated in Santiago de Compostella, Pope John Paul returned to the theme of EUROPE. “A Europe which does not deny the CHRISTIAN ROOTS of her growth, and, who will not forsake the true humanism of the Gospel of Christ.”
A few months later on the 9th November “1989,” THE BERLIN WALL (Beliner Mauer) fell down!
This was also the time when the Communist system of the Soviet Union imploded. Pope John Paul II, the charismatic Polish Pope, had a lot to do with this event, by working tirelessly behind the scenes to undermine this totalitarian system. Joseph Stalin once mockingly said: “How many divisions does the Pope have?” Clearly, he was wrong to underestimate the power of the Papacy and the Vatican.
Note, 1989 was precisely SEVEN YEARS after the ROOTS OF BABYLON were awakened by this same Pope, the titular head of Babylon, and its mystery religion!
1989 was also the 10th anniversary of the European Monetary System (EMS). The fall of the Berlin Wall that same year opened the way for German reunification on the 3rd October 1990. Much has happened since then, as we witness the emergence of the EU, as a union of 27 mainly Catholic Nation States into one sovereign entity. It has its own Constitution in all but name, with an EU President, Foreign Minister and Diplomatic service, as well as its own Flag, (displaying the twelve stars representing the Crown of Semiramis, the Queen of heaven, and its own (Ode to Joy) EU Anthem, and Currency. We are now 23 years further on, and in just a few years more we will not be able to recognize the world, as this colossal Beast of Babylon starts to make its ghastly presence felt with especially dire consequences for all the Israelite nations of the world.
