The outcome of the Brexit vote took the whole world by surprise. Great Britain voted to leave the European Union and became the headline grabbing news around the whole world. It was a result that took everyone, not least the British government itself, by surprise. For a country whose future felt like it was in the lap of the gods, it seemed fitting that much of Britain awoke to rumbling thunder, torrential rain and flashes of lightning on referendum morning. Dark storm clouds loomed over the country, pouring a month’s worth of rain over the South, deluging roads, crippling train services and flooding polling stations. In some areas, polling booths were abandoned altogether to be relocated to higher ground. Yet the soggy British summer did not deter the resolve of the voters who turned out in record numbers to have their say.

The fact that Britain held this referendum is due to the dedicated leadership of Nigel Farage, a political maverick, who has campaigned relentlessly for some twenty five years for Britain to leave the supra-national embrace of the unaccountable EU. He was a founder member of the U.K. Independence Party (UKIP), and became its leader in November 2010, and obtained the largest British block of MEP’ in the European Parliament. For many years he walked alone having the entire political, economic and media establishment arraigned against him. Yet through his grit and feisty leadership he has forced the Referendum decision on the U.K. government, which has produced an era-defining result that will lead to the U.K. pulling out of the European Union. In the process he and his supporters, including those with the ruling Conservative party, have beaten the entire Establishment – and it was the entire Establishment – the Government alongside all the other political parties, the Bank of England, the Treasury, the Media lead by the BBC, the International Monetary Fund, and yes, even President Obama got roped in for his two cents worth.

Even on the very eve of the vote pollsters had unanimously predicted that the ‘Remain’ side would win. The FTSE, the bell weather of the London Stock Exchange had rallied hard on June 23, 2016, the day of the poll, accompanied by a surge of the pound. The traders were euphoric, self-assured that EU membership would continue. The pound surged rising above $1.50 for the first time in six months. The moment the result was announced the shockwaves reverberated around the world. Prime Minister David Cameron, who had campaigned so passionately for the Remain campaign felt compelled to resign. The British pound slumped to its lowest level for thirty years and in excess of two trillion dollars were wiped from world markets. The British electorate had spoken with the ‘Leave’ getting 52% against ‘Remain’ at 48%, giving a decisive vote in favour of Brexit.

At this point it needs to be acknowledged that there was one lone voice of the past which had consistently prophesied that Great Britain would leave the European Union. It was the voice of Herbert W Armstrong, the founder of the World Wide Church of God, who even upon Britain’s accession to the ‘Common Market’/EEC, in 1973, stated that the U.K. would ultimately assert her independence and leave this European club.

On June 24 Nigel Farage roasted Brussels bureaucrats in a historic speech in front of the EU Parliament, remarking, “You’re not laughing now, are you?” As soon as he began to speak, he was booed and heckled by EU bureaucrats. The UKIP leader went on to assert that the European Union was “in denial” about its collapsing currency, its policy to impose poverty on its Mediterranean Member States, and the overwhelming influx of migrants into the continent. “But the biggest problem you’ve got and the main reason the United Kingdom voted the way that it did is that you have – by stealth, by deception, without ever telling the truth to the British or the rest of the peoples of Europe – you have imposed upon them a political union.

Mr Farage was followed by French National Front leader Marine Le Pen, who remarked that the Brexit vote illustrated – “how beautiful history is when liberty succeeds!” She made the statement in front of a sign saying: “AND NOW FRANCE!

The big question for tomorrow is: What country will be next? A recent survey for Pew Research found that in France, a founding member of the EU, only 38% of people still hold a favourable view of the EU, six points lower than in Britain. In the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Slovakia, France and Italy powerful voices are demanding their own referenda regarding their relationship with the EU. Thus Britain could be just the first domino to fall leading to the breakup of the union. Nevertheless, the fact is that the globalists dream of creating a “United States of Europe,” has not been killed off by the Brexit vote, and the signs are that behind the scenes Germany and France are already hatching a plan to accelerate the creation of an EU Superstrate. The Express, one of the largest newspaper organizations in the UK, are reporting that the foreign ministers of France and Germany are due to reveal a blueprint “to effectively do away with individual member states, in what is being described as an “ultimatum.” ”

Under the radical proposals EU countries will lose the right to have their own army, criminal law, taxation system or central bank, with all those powers being transferred to Brussels. The member states would also lose what few controls they have left over their own borders, including the procedure for admitting and relocating refugees. Frankly, it would have been unrealistic to expect the globalist backers of European integration to go down without a fight, as they will just carry on with their plan. In some ways Britain’s exit has made things easier for them, as the freedom loving Brits have always, ever since their accession, acted as a break on the centralizing mission of those dedicated Eurocrats.

What the world does not realise is that the vision for a United European State is a concept that is thousands of years old.  Some say it goes all the way back to Babylon and the rule of Nimrod and the Tower of Babel. In fact the founders of the EU freely admit this connection in that the European Parliament building in Strasburg is actually modelled on the unfinished Tower of Babel. Whereas prophecy is the only true guide to the future, history too is an excellent pattern for things to come.

We need to see the establishment of the EU in the light of that which has gone before. It is no accident that the French and the Germans are the main power brokers behind the EU project of unification. Formerly both France and Germany respectively attempted to unify Europe by force of arms and failed. Napoleon was defeated at the Battle of Waterloo by Great Britain, whereas the German Keiser in World War I, and Adolf Hitler in World War II both suffered defeat. They failed because the combined forces of the Anglo-Saxon powers were too great for them. Hence they devised a scheme of political union, whereby the same effect could be achieved by peaceful means through stealth using incremental steps spread over many decades. The aim of those failed aspirants for global power was to achieve the domination of Europe through other means. Seen from their perspective, domination of Europe is a prerequisite to global domination.

Prophecy too is a sure guide to the future. A famous EU motto is: “Of many languages, one voice!” Consider the people of Babel who decided to make themselves as God. This led to God confusing their language and they were scattered to the four corners of the earth. (Genesis 11:6). The EU is reversing this by preparing to lead the world into a New World Order. It has chosen Pieter Breughel’s famous painting of the “Tower of Babel” as one of its logos. This reference should bring to mind the vision of the Apostle John, while on the isle of Patmos:

So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns…and on her forehead a name was written: Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and of the Abominations of the Earth.

(Revelation 17:3-5)

John’s vision is a reference to a vision Daniel received 500 years previously while at the court of the king of Babylon. The vision represented four successive world ruling empires with the fourth of these representing the Roman Empire. The woman riding the scarlet beast of Revelations 17 holds sway over the seven heads, representing seven resurrections of this fourth ruling world empire. After the Roman Empire had fallen into disrepair it was revived when the Pope crowned Justinian in 554 AD as the first emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. Then in 800 AD the empire was revived for the second time, as the Pope placed the crown upon the head of Charlemagne, pronouncing him the 73rd emperor of the Fourth World Empire. Otto the Great lead the third revival, Charles V the fourth, Napoleon the fifth, and the Hitler Mussolini Axis the sixth.

The European Union represents the seventh resurrection of this same Holy Roman Empire, and it was no accident that it was inaugurated in 1957 in the Treaty of Rome. Thus the EU is the embryonic manifestation of the seventh and final resurrection of the Roman Empire in direct fulfilment of Daniel’s amazing prophecy, as the “feet of iron mixed with miry clay” (Daniel 2:41-43). Incredibly the shadowy figures behind the construction of this Euro Beast do not hide their intentions, as the image of the “woman riding the beast” is one of the main images promoted by the European Union.

Notice, just five short years after the end of the Second World War, the new Germany printed a five Mark note dated 1948, which depicted “the woman sitting on a scarlet beast, which was full of names of blasphemy,” of Revelation 17. Anyone with the spiritual discernment to see at the time would have spotted this truly significant sign in their new currency; that showed there was no true repentance for their Nazi sins amongst the rulers of Germany. By issuing this five mark note the leaders of Germany threw down the gauntlet to the victorious Allied Forces, that the German people were determined to try once more for the prize of world domination. They had learned their lessons from both the First and Second World Wars they started, and thus next time around they would attempt to create their Fourth Reich by deception through peaceful means.

By banking on the biblical ignorance of the masses they chose as their symbol that infamous woman riding the beast of Revelation 17. A great sculpture is displayed right in front of the Charlemagne building, the H.Q. of the European Union in Brussels, Belgium. The same image of the ‘woman riding the beast’ is repeated over and over again in their postage stamps, telephone cards, currency and sculptures.

The Germans tried to control Europe through brute force in the past and ever since the Treaty of Rome of 1953 they have striven to control Europe through the EU, and once the EU fails they will be pushed to a violent response with the intention of domination. In 2011 Angela Merkel warned the world that the collapse of the Euro would end peace in Europe. She warned that the collapse of the Euro would end the half a century of peace that has been enjoyed since the end of the Second World War. “Nobody should believe that another half a century of peace in Europe is a given. – it’s not,” Mrs. Merkel said. “So I say again: if the Euro collapses, Europe collapses. That can’t happen.” Merkel was warning that the end of the Euro would spark the end of the half of a century of peace since 1945; in other words that it would lead to war!

Great Britain has got out of this evil empire, which is allied both with Turkey and Sunny Islam and soon they will stand poised to wreck absolute terror in the world. But for our King Messiah’s return to His people the world has no hope. He is the hope of our salvation.  For those who want to know how it all ends check it out in (Daniel 2:44-45).
